I, like you, wanted to find a way to make money without quitting my job. The question I asked myself was how can I make money in my spare time without a big investment in money or time? Or, in other words, how can I moonlight without jeopardizing my current career?

I started looking into the many ways you can make money on the internet. The choices were endless. It seemed like the most popular methods were selling items on e-bay or through your own website. There are a plethora of products that can be sold on-line. However, I know I did not want to be ordering, storing, shipping or maintaining any product inventories. I discovered that there are drop shippers that exist to prevent you from having to deal with inventory. This certainly eases some of the time and money commitment to start an e-business. But finding unique niche products through drop shippers is difficult.

Another item that could be sold without inventory are eBooks and software. Customers can purchase and download an eBook or software all online. This option is certainly is a possibility. However, most eBooks are of certain common themes which are highly saturated in the internet market. Finding e-books on truly unique niche markets could be difficult.

Another method of making money was through the creation of internet directories, blogs and/or article sites. These methods make money through advertisements. My concerns with these methods were how do you market them, and do I have to continually be writing blogs and articles to maintain the site(s). If you are not careful this could be more than a part-time job.
